About the Role:

We re looking for a motivated Engineering Team Leader to develop and implement a site maintenance program while leading a multi-skilled team of engineers. Your role will be to manage resources effectively to ensure the site meets its productivity, quality, safety, and cost goals, all while maintaining a positive, engaged work environment.

This is a key role that will help shape the future of our site s engineering and overall performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the site s maintenance plan.
  • Lead and support the engineering team, encouraging strong performance and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the manufacturing team to improve site operations and develop engineering skills.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and engineering regulations.
  • Lead site projects, including planning and completing capital engineering work.
  • Collaborate with other teams to drive site performance.
  • Oversee the management of engineering stores and contractor bookings.
  • Step in to lead the site in the absence of the Engineering Maintenance Manager.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven engineering experience in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) sector, with a good understanding of operations.
  • Skills: Multi-skilled in Electrical, Mechanical, and Automation engineering.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership abilities, with experience in managing teams and promoting continuous improvement.
  • Maintenance Systems: Experience implementing and managing maintenance systems.
  • Communication: Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Qualifications:

  • Time-served apprenticeship in Engineering.
  • Minimum qualification of NVQ Level 3 in Electrical and Mechanical.
  • Basic food hygiene certification (preferred but not essential).

This is a Day based position Monday to Friday 08:00am till 16:30pm.
