BI Developer – SQL, PowerBI

📍 Location: London (Hybrid)

💰 Salary: £60,000 + up to 15% bonus + 10% pension + benefits

MUST HAVE Insurance or Financial experience


We are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented BI Developer to support the BI function of a fast-paced and innovative Lloyd’s syndicate. You'll play a key role in maintaining and developing Power BI reporting solutions and data warehouse systems for internal and financial reporting.


If you have a strong SQL background, experience in Power BI, and a basic understanding of the insurance market, we’d love to hear from you!


What You’ll Be Doing

✅ Designing and developing BI solutions in cloud and on-premise environments

✅ Creating and maintaining Power BI reports and models

✅ Troubleshooting and triaging BI-related issues (Jira)

✅ Supporting ETL development and DevOps pipelines

✅ Monitoring and resolving daily job failures within agreed timeframes

✅ Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure data solutions meet business needs

✅ Maintaining data architecture, warehouses, and databases

✅ Ensuring full unit testing and change control before deployment


What We’re Looking For

✔ Strong SQL coding skills

✔ Experience in Power BI and Microsoft Office suite

✔ A basic understanding of the Insurance market

✔ Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

✔ Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

✔ A proactive team player with strong communication skills
